In the early 1990s, BCC acquired three stand-alone self-storage facilities and an industrial park that included a self-storage facility. In total, BCC acquired 178,000 square feet of self-storage that operated as “Budget Self Storage.” These four properties are located in Waldorf and Marlow Heights, MD, and Sterling and Springfield, VA. The Waldorf Budget Self Storage property consists of 21,400 square feet and was BCC’s first acquisition in 1989. The Marlow Heights and Sterling properties were sold in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
